The Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Dr. Mansour Gholami appointed Dr. Jaffar Ghaisari as the president of Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT).
In his appointment decree, Dr Gholami stated “With the appointment of former ISTT President, Dr. Mehdi Abtahi, to the presidency of Isfahan University of Technology (IUT) it was most vital that the activities of ISTT continued seamlessly and so with the suggestion of the Ministry’s Vice President for Research and Technology, Dr. Ghaisari was selected and appointed to the presidency of ISTT.”
“With over two decades of successful cooperation with the biggest universities of its region and beyond, an influential and effective managerial team that has fostered many SMEs and start-ups to maturity, and maintained close relations with the country's knowledge-based economic pioneers and experts, ISTT has played a noteworthy and prominent role in the development of the entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem of Iran. ISTT is an excellent example for the social and economic effectiveness of science and technology parks.”

Dr. Ghaisari was born in Isfahan in 1974. He is a faculty member of the Control Group of the department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT).
Dr. Ghaisari has vast experience in implementation of practical projects in collaboration with the industrial sector including 28 research and applied studies for the Steel, Iron, Electricity and Gas industries.
He was also the recipient of Isfahan’s Best Researcher Award in 2011 and 2017 and his joint project with Isfahan Electricity Company was selected as the Best Provincial Project of the year 2008.
Dr. Ghaisari was previously the Director of the Innovation and Technology Transfer Center of IUT.
